This is what happens when I chase Rob. I stub my toe on the leg of Carson's swing. Ouch!

Carson

I can't believe that my baby is already 3 months old!! It makes me sad how fast time goes by and how fast he is growing. Here are some of his latest....

He loves chewing on his fists and fingers
He is 17 pounds and wearing 6-9 month clothes
He HATES his swing here but loves the one and my moms...they're exactly the same
He is sooo chatty. I think he likes to hear his own voice
He only takes a few short naps during the day but he is a good sleeper at night
He loves when I sing in silly voices and really likes when I sing Katy Perry "Firework"
He has stinky feet
He LOVES getting a bath
He has only had 1 blow out
He rarely gets fussy
He has started to grab for things! I'll hold his binky in front of him and he will reach out and grab it!!
He likes to hold my hair and touch my face
He LOVES Rob. Every time he sees him he gets a huge grin
He has a fake cry and it is really funny and cute
He also fake coughs
He is super tooty! That kid has no shame
He cries every time we sing a hymn in church
He is starting to only want to be held by me

Carson is such a joy! I LOVE every minute I get to spend with him. I am so grateful that I get to be a stay at home mom. I am loving the stage he is in now. It is so fun to watch him learn and watch him develop a personality! I LOVE BEING A MOM!!

Wow my blog is REALLY dusty!! Anyway, I was thinking about my Rob today and wanted to post all about him.
I love him so much. I love that I met him when he was a missionary. When we tell people that they kind of raise their eyebrows and look skeptical but we both know that it was nothing wrong or inappropriate and we both know that it was just the right situation for us. I love that the moment I saw him I know without a doubt that we were to be together forever. I love that when I prayed about it my answer came immediately. I love how respectful he is. I love how hard he works for our family. I love his energy and enthusiasm for life. He is so happy and a joy to everyone around him. I love how devoted he is to me and Carson.
We got married very young. That being said, we have had some ups and downs. There have been very difficult times but we have come out of those stronger and more in love then ever. I know that we will have more hard times but we will face those together. United as one.
He is an incredible father. He is so involved and helpful. Carson adores him. Rob loves spending time with him. He is always willing to change him, feed him, bathe him, hang out with him so I can nap and so much more.
Rob, you are my soul mate, my other half. I need you. Forever. You amaze me. Thank you for choosing me. Thank you for taking me to the temple. Thank you for giving me a beautiful baby boy. You're working today, tomorrow and Sunday and I miss you. Working 36 hours in 3 days is a lot! I can't wait for next week when you only work 2 days! I love love love you. Forever.

December 2010

Christmas came and went and it was wonderful this year. Last Christmas was mine and Rob's first one married and this one was the first Christmas with a baby! I would love for next Christmas to be our first one in our own house! Christmas eve we had my family come over. We ate, played games and opened our Christmas jammies from my mom. Later that night before bed, Rob red Luke:2 and I read The Three Trees. Christmas morning Rob and I opened our presents and then went over to my moms to wake up Mack so he could open his presents! We spent the rest of the day playing and relaxing and then had a yummy ham dinner and my moms.

I just want to say how thankful I am for my family. My mom and my aunties are AMAZING women full of knowledge, advice, love and support. How could they not be? Their mother was amazing. A girl needs that in her life and I am truly grateful. I don't know what I would do without them.

Random little updates

Carson is 2 months old! He is a big healthy boy weighing in at 14 pounds. He is such a joy! His favorite things include, eating, laying on the floor and stretching out, sitting in his bouncer and kicking his legs like CRAZY, talking, smiling at mama and sucking his fist. He is a wonderful baby. He is really spoiling Rob and I. Hopefully our future children are as happy and content as he is.

Our family recently took a quick trip to Phoenix for Rob's grandma's funeral. It was a sad event but a wonderful opportunity to spend time with Rob's family. Despite being there for a funeral, we had a blast. We enjoyed eating pizza and wings several times, spending lots of time with Rob's parents and siblings, showing off our cute baby to everyone and spending time with friends. Carson did wonderfully on the airplanes. He slept the whole way there and back.

We got our Christmas tree and it is totally dead. Randomly during the day I'll hear pine needles falling off. Ah well, it looks pretty and smells good. Last Christmas was our first one as a married couple and this one will be our first one with a baby!
