Earlier this week we got some family pictures done by the amazing Morgan Bennett. She does such a wonderful job! Carson, who is usually full of smiles decided to be crabby and stubborn. Oh well, he is still adorable :) Here are just a few of my favs.

GIRLS DAY

As many of you mommas know, time away from you little ones in necessary. J and I got too have a girls day a couple of weekends ago! Our hubbys' were great and watched the kids/baby for us. J and I went out to lunch, went shopping and got our nails painted and pedicures. Let me tell you how amazing it was to spend the afternoon with a great friend and no interruptions!! It was so nice to be able to have an ongoing conversation without having to stop because of kids or hubbys. (Rob and B get uncomfortable with some of the things J and I talk about ;) ) Lunch was delicious, shopping was great! I got some 7 jeans for $40! The pedis were wonderful too despite when it tickled :) We had such a blast and came back with more appreciation for our hubbys and kids. Thanks for such a fun day J!!

Rob's Birthday

Last weekend was my wonderful Rob's birthday!! We were lucky enough to get him home for the whole weekend! On Friday we had our friends B & J come over and my mom and 2 brothers came over as well. We made sausage gravy over english muffins for dinner and then enjoyed delicious cake!! Rob really wanted a new tool box for his birthday and a new drill. I got him the tool box but the drill was really expensive. I knew how badly he wanted it so I told his family and my family to all get him gift cards to lowes. He ended up with $130 to lowes and he was able to get the drill he wanted!! Win!! On Saturday we went to Supercross with some friends! It was freezing cold but alot of fun. Happy birthday Rob. I love you, best friend.

So embarrassed

Want to know something that is totally embarrassing.....

Yesterday, we had our friends B and J come over. They have a 1 year old who likes to play with the blinds on our front room window so we keep them wide open so that he doesn't mess them up. It was also a beautiful day so the sun shining in our living room was really nice. Leaving the blinds open gives anyone a full view into our home. Well, I was laying on the floor and Rob was being playful and layed on top of me. Sounds dirty but really it wasn't. At all. Like I said, our friends were over so really it was just playful. Well I look out the window and no, I didn't see popcorn popping on the apricot tree, I see the missionaries walking by, looking into our window and looking mortified. Then I hear a knock on the door. I WAS SO EMBARRASSED!!! They saw Rob laying on me!! It was nothing, but from the outside they couldn't see that we had friends and kids with us and they couldn't hear that we were all laughing. Poor missionaries. They are probably scared for life.

And I am too.

Randoms

Carson is now eating baby food and he loves it!! I also love that he now has less bottles which means we don't go through formula as fast which means saving money! Anyway, tonight Carson's dinner was green beans mixed with rice cereal. He loved it and ate it super fast. The only problem, it looked a lot like his poop.

Rob's birthday is a week from today! I am very excited!! So is he :)

Who ever said that you don't have cramps during "that time of the month" after you have a baby was wrong.

Carson has a tooth!!! The little white friend has made it's debut! It's about time!

I'm sad that this season of teen mom is over.

I am so excited that Rob only works 2 days next week!

My hair is now red! Well not red, red but kind of purpley, redish, auburnish. I love it and so does the hubby.

I am really looking forward to our vacation this summer!

And lastly I would like to thank whoever invented these.....

It cheers up my crabby baby instantly. He is enjoying a peach at the moment. And yes, it makes for a very sticky baby but that's what baby wipes and baths are for :)

Day 11: A picture of something you love

When Rob leaves for work in the morning, I bring Carson into our bed with me. I love this time. I cherish it. There is just something about seeing my sweet baby sleeping peacefully next to me. To fall asleep, I sing "you are my sunshine" to him. He loves it. He also likes to touch my face when he is falling asleep. I love it. He is so sweet and I love our mama and Carson time. Love it.

Day 10: A picture of something you hate

Spiders. Shudder. I. HATE. SPIDERS. With a passion. If you look up Arachnophobia in the dictionary I'm pretty sure there is a picture of me. It started when I was about 4 years old. I started having spider dreams. They were so scary and realistic and I can remember them perfectly. Even to this day if I am really stressed out I'll have spider dreams. Our zoo has a spider exhibit and I could never go in there. They have a spider that isn't in a cage!! They say that certain spider never leaves it's web but I am not taking any chances. When I was younger, before I would go to bed I would do a "spider check." It consisted of me looking up and down the walls of my bedroom and checking every corner to make sure there weren't any spiders. If there was one, my dad or brother would have to get it. I am so grateful that I now have a hubby who is my spider catcher.  Notice the picture, I google images spiders and peeked with one eye shut and started crying. It was awful. So I googled the itsy bitsy spider and the picture were much friendlier.

P.S. Have you seen this commercial? It just proves my point that spiders can get you!

Day 9: A picture of the person that has gotten you through the most

That would be my wonderful mother. I can't even begin to describe how amazing she is. She has been there for me through everything. She put up with me and still loved me even when I was an emotional pre-teen and still loved me when I was a little older and giving her a hard time. I have always been able to go to her when I have had problems or questions about anything. She has always given me wonderful advice but never got offended or upset if I didn't take it. She has helped me so much through out my life and still continues to. I have no idea what I would do with out her. She is absolutely amazing and I hope that someday I have a daughter so that I can share that special relationship with her. I love you mama. Forever.
